About The Position

Snap Inc. is a technology company focused on improving communication and daily life through its camera-centric products. The Specs Inc. subsidiary, a wholly-owned part of Snap Inc., is dedicated to making computing more human by developing advanced eyewear that integrates digital experiences into the physical world. Specs Inc. also provides Lens Studio, a suite of developer tools for augmented reality experiences. The company is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the Specs team, responsible for driving consumer electronic device programs from concept to delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years experience of electrical, mechanical, or hardware project management at a tech or consumer electronics company
  • Approximately 25% travel, including international
  • Expert in schedule creation and management for hardware products
  • Ability to design experiments (DOE) for hardware build configurations and hardware build management
  • Proficient with materials planning and lead times for hardware builds
  • Skilled at risk identification and mitigation across hardware
  • Strong motivational leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Proven track record of interdisciplinary system integration of electrical, mechanical, and software components
  • Experience with project/issue tracking and version control software
  • Experience driving complex programs in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment

Responsibilities

  • Drive programs for a consumer electronic device from concept to delivery as a system engineering project manager
  • Create hardware project schedules that align with product requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times, and business needs
  • Communicate with hardware and software engineering, product management, and operations
  • Plan milestones, anticipate setbacks, and support troubleshooting and/or contingency plans
  • Drive best practices and production processes in a fast-paced production setting
  • Document and execute on product specifications and test plans
  • Develop business relationships with external partners and vendors
