About The Position

The Specs Inc. subsidiary, a wholly-owned part of Snap Inc., is dedicated to making computing more human by developing advanced eyewear that integrates digital experiences into the physical world. Specs Inc. also provides Lens Studio, a suite of developer tools for augmented reality experiences. The company is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join the Specs team, responsible for driving consumer electronic device programs from concept to delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent years of experience
- 5+ years experience of electrical, mechanical, or hardware project management at a tech or consumer electronics company
- Approximately 25% travel, including international
- Expert in schedule creation and management for hardware products
- Ability to design experiments (DOE) for hardware build configurations and hardware build management
- Proficient with materials planning and lead times for hardware builds
- Skilled at risk identification and mitigation across hardware
- Strong motivational leadership skills
Nice To Haves
- Proven track record of interdisciplinary system integration of electrical, mechanical, and software components
- Experience with project/issue tracking and version control software
- Experience driving complex programs in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment
Responsibilities
- Drive programs for a consumer electronic device from concept to delivery as a system engineering project manager
- Create hardware project schedules that align with product requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times, and business needs
- Communicate with hardware and software engineering, product management, and operations
- Plan milestones, anticipate setbacks, and support troubleshooting and/or contingency plans
- Drive best practices and production processes in a fast-paced production setting
- Document and execute on product specifications and test plans
- Develop business relationships with external partners and vendors
