About The Position

Félix is building a financial companion for Latinos in the US, combining a conversational interface with financial infrastructure. Its wallet is an account and debit card inside WhatsApp, built on stablecoin infrastructure. The Technical Product Manager, Wallet & Card owns the technical foundations of the wallet, the rails that move money into and out of it, and the debit card program. The role determines how the wallet is built, which rails and partners are used, and how the card operates safely and reliably, aiming for accurate balances, high acceptance, controlled fraud, and a seamless user experience. This hands-on role leads a product pod and collaborates with leadership, engineers, other product managers, Fraud, Finance, and infrastructure, issuing, and network partners. The position owns the wallet infrastructure and rails roadmap, co-owns the card roadmap with other product managers, and is accountable for core performance metrics.

  • Expertise in funding and payout rails, processors, banking partners, settlement, automated reconciliation, and the economics of payment rails.
  • Experience evaluating infrastructure options with engineering leadership, making build-versus-partner decisions, and owning technical trade-offs.
  • Track record owning payment KPIs such as authorization and acceptance rates, fraud loss ratios, funding success rates, and unit cost, and using data to optimize systems.
  • Technical fluency to read API documentation, inspect logs, run SQL queries independently, and design resilience mechanisms such as timeouts, retries, and fallback routes.
  • Direct experience managing day-to-day relationships with issuers, processors, card networks, sponsor banks, or web3/fiat infrastructure partners.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills to align engineering, fraud, finance, compliance, and executive leadership on technical roadmaps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • In-depth knowledge of card issuing lifecycle, including authorization and settlement flows, decline analysis, tokenization, disputes and chargebacks, and Visa or Mastercard network rules.
  • Hands-on exposure to digital wallets, blockchain protocols, smart contracts, or non-custodial wallet infrastructure.
  • Direct experience managing a card network program or sponsor bank relationship.
  • Spanish language fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Define wallet infrastructure with engineering, including custody and key management, stablecoin and settlement chains, ledger integration, automated reconciliation, and infrastructure partners.
  • Oversee the technical design and ongoing operation of funding and withdrawal rails; ensure healthy integrations, high transaction success rates, suitable settlement timing, and automated reconciliation.
  • Drive the health and evolution of the debit card program, including authorization flows, decline codes, tokenization and digital wallets, disputes, network rules, and card acceptance rates.
  • Work with the Fraud team on card and funding controls, data pipelines, loss ratios, and false-decline rates.
  • Work directly with engineers on APIs, webhooks, on-chain flows, and real-time authorizations; debug production issues, review logs, and query SQL databases to identify improvements.
  • Own card lifecycle flows, including issuance, activation, provisioning, freezing, and replacement, in partnership with the Wallet Experience team.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, banking, payment processor, card issuing, and card network vendors on technical strategies and operational success.
  • Set the pod roadmap and priorities, own the wallet infrastructure and rails roadmap, co-own the card roadmap with other product managers, and communicate progress and impact to leadership while driving core metrics.
