Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an instructional or training capacity required.
  • Working knowledge of the duties, responsibilities, and authorities associated with this position.
  • Thorough understanding of Eastern Airlines manuals, policies, procedures, and applicable Operations Specifications.
  • Knowledge of training requirements outlined in the Maintenance Training Manual.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including data entry and keyboarding proficiency.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic to semi-advanced mathematical calculations.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and scheduling skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and recordkeeping accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening, two-year drug and alcohol background check, and criminal history records check.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical, aviation-related, or business field preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience managing training records, training systems, or learning management systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with online aircraft maintenance manuals, computer-based training (CBT) platforms, and learning management systems (LMS).

Responsibilities

  • Documenting all training activities and maintaining accurate employee training records, including individual training files, Maintenance Department Individual Training Record Summaries, Aircraft Maintenance Authorization Cards, and Computerized Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS) records related to employee status, position qualifications, training requirements, and organizational affiliation.
  • Coordinating maintenance training events with internal personnel and external vendors.
  • Continuously monitoring, assessing, and supporting vendor training and authorization processes.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact (POC) for AMOS Maintenance Training and related system functionality requirements.
  • Acting as System Administrator for AMOS, SilverWings, SkyPrep, and CPaT.
  • Analyzing and evaluating training forms in accordance with the Maintenance Training Manual.
  • Ensuring all required training documentation is completed accurately and maintained in personnel training files.
  • Maintaining training records for all Eastern Airlines and contract maintenance personnel.
  • Ensuring compliance with all training requirements outlined in the Maintenance Training Manual.
  • Maintaining documentation demonstrating satisfactory completion of required training.
  • Working closely with the Manager of Maintenance Training to maintain records and provide departmental administrative support.
  • Developing training schedules and assisting with curriculum delivery for maintenance training programs.
  • Generating and distributing monthly certification reports identifying currently qualified employees and recurrent training due dates.
  • Evaluating maintenance training software solutions and providing recommendations for implementation.
  • Supporting the development of a culture of continuous improvement throughout the Maintenance organization.
  • Completing and maintaining all required forms and documentation associated with employee training records.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Aircraft Maintenance Training Manager, Director of Quality, or Vice President, Maintenance & Engineering.
