Technical Implementations Analyst

About The Position

Junction is hiring a Technical Implementations Analyst to own and improve lab-partner certification and operational processes. When customers go live with Quest or LabCorp, labs certify that results flow correctly into Junction’s system, that flagged items are handled correctly, and that results match what the labs sent. The role takes certifications from request through test planning, case execution, partner follow-up, and customer readiness. Around 30 certifications may be active at a time. The role also covers processes across Junction’s 20+ lab partners, including setting up lab accounts and sub-accounts, tracking pricing requests, and keeping internal teams informed of status. A central focus is reducing manual work by building automation with scripts, agents, and other tools. The analyst will investigate issues in backend systems, databases, and API responses, and make practical changes such as running scripts, applying sandbox overrides, pulling Quest orders, and making HL7 changes. The position works with a small team, alongside Oliver and Andy and closely with Jeff, and is described as a potential first step into solutions engineering. This is a hands-on, process-owning role rather than a customer success or pure product engineering position. The analyst will communicate with lab partners and sometimes customers, write and ship code changes, maintain certification and account-setup documentation, and identify further repetitive workflows to automate. The company is remote-first but only hires people physically based in GMT and EST time zones; it does not currently sponsor visas.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience running implementations, integrations, or technical support for an API-based or similarly technical product.
  • Experience working in an ecosystem with an active network of partners and integrations, and understanding how process changes affect partners, customers, and their customers.
  • Ability to make and ship code changes independently, including scripts, database queries, or API integrations, without requiring an engineer to review work line by line.
  • Hands-on ability to write SQL and scripts in Python or JavaScript.
  • Regular use of AI tools integrated into everyday workflows, with an inclination to use AI to address repetitive work.
  • Ability to manage many concurrent projects and keep work from slipping.
  • High ownership and a drive to identify and solve problems and reduce manual work.
  • Clear, organized, and responsive communication with outside contacts, representing Junction with lab partners.

  • Track roughly 30 active certifications at a time, keeping status and next steps clear and following up on stalled work.
  • Communicate reliably and in an organized manner with lab partners about test cases and issues.
  • Build automation for certification processes using scripts, agents, or other tools to reduce manual work.
  • Investigate backend data, databases, and API responses when results do not appear as expected, and perform practical fixes or changes yourself.
  • Run partner processes such as setting up lab accounts and sub-accounts and tracking pricing requests.
  • Keep internal teams informed about the status of partner processes.
  • Maintain customer- and sales-facing documentation about certification and account setup.
  • Identify other manual, repetitive lab workflows and propose or build automation for them.
