About The Position

The Tech 2 performs intermediate laboratory tasks, including sample analysis, equipment calibration, and data interpretation. The role involves working independently on assigned projects and collaborating with team members to complete laboratory tasks accurately and on time while adhering to safety and quality standards. The Tech 2 may also assist in developing and optimizing laboratory protocols and provide guidance and support to Tech 1 personnel.

Requirements

Associate's degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment operation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Flexibility to participate in meetings across various time zones outside core working hours.
Occasionally work extended hours to meet client deliverable timelines.

Responsibilities

Perform sample analysis using various laboratory techniques.
Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
Interpret data and generate reports.
Collaborate with team members on research projects.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Assist in developing and optimizing laboratory protocols.
Provide guidance and support to Tech 1 personnel.
Perform tasks associated with sample registration and Tech 1 work, including microbiology plating, water testing, empty container testing, total solids, vacuum moisture, ash, Mojo Prep, Distill TKN, and Charm.
