About The Position

The Team Member is the core of the Caribou Coffee experience, creating day-making experiences by delivering guest service, making hand-crafted beverages, and bringing Caribou’s purpose and values to life in every interaction. No previous experience is required. Team Members work across roles as needed, including barista and greeter, and help maintain a welcoming, clean, organized, and well-stocked coffeehouse. The position requires reliable attendance, a learner’s mindset, dependable teamwork, and the ability to stay steady while balancing multiple priorities.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, as coffeehouse needs require.
Excellent customer service mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for coffee, hospitality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Deliver guest service that builds connections through active listening, personal attention, and thoughtful interactions.
Hand-craft beverages and prepare food according to standard recipes, customizing orders to guest preferences.
Move between barista, greeter, and other roles as needed during a shift.
Take orders and manage the cash drawer accurately while following cash-handling, safety, and security standards.
Keep the coffeehouse clean, organized, and well-stocked in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Anticipate the needs of guests and teammates and act without waiting to be asked.
Make recommendations based on product knowledge.
Recognize when to resolve a problem independently and when to seek support from a leader.
Take direction from leaders and help balance multiple priorities.
Arrive on time and ready for scheduled shifts, maintaining reliable and consistent attendance.
