About The Position

Team Members at Family Farm and Home contribute to the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices focused on customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and maintenance, including stocking and recovering merchandise, placing products in back stock, assembling products, operating the cash register, and maintaining store cleanliness. Team Members assist customers in the store and through supported internet sites, process special orders and online orders, and help promote customer programs and financing options. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays. Team Members must be able to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds. Forklift and/or pallet-jack operation is part of the duties for employees who are at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers entering and leaving the store and interact with them pleasantly and positively.
Encourage customers to enroll in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally.
Approach and assist customers in the store and on Family Farm and Home-supported internet sites, and process special orders.
Use the POS system to check out customers and follow cash-handling processes and procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct locations according to the store layout.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Explain and support financing options, and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance pricing, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company Loss Prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Assist with building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist in completing the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
