Team Member - Restaurant
About The Position
Pasta & Company at U-Village is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Team Member for a part-time restaurant role. The position starts at $21.30 per hour, plus expected average tips of $7–$9 per hour, for an average total of $27.76–$29.76 per hour. Team Members welcome guests, help them make purchases, prepare and serve food, and maintain the store. They follow food-safety procedures, explain the company’s Pure Food Commitment, recommend products, and support sales through upselling and add-on sales. The role also includes restocking and merchandising, routine cleaning, and store maintenance and operations. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced café, retail, or food-preparation setting.
- Basic computer skills to operate a retail POS system.
- Experience maintaining and balancing a till.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for 4 or more hours at a stretch.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and initiative in previous employment.
- Must acquire a Washington State Food Handler’s Permit.
- Evening and weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests, identify their needs, and assist with purchases.
- Follow proper food-safety procedures.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold food.
- Educate guests about the Pure Food Commitment.
- Provide product recommendations.
- Maximize sales through upselling and add-on sales.
- Restock and merchandise as directed by management.
- Attend to routine store cleaning, maintenance, and operation.
