About The Position

All Team Members at Family Farm and Home are expected to work toward the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices to customers. The Team Member contributes to daily store operations and appearance by stocking products, organizing back stock, recovering and assembling products, operating the cash register, and maintaining general store cleanliness. The role also involves assisting customers, completing operational tasks, supporting merchandising and loss-prevention efforts, and contributing to a positive working environment.

Able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Commitment to excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Encourage customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in-store and on company-supported internet sites, including processing special orders.
Use the POS system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct store locations.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and explain financing options, and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Assist in building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness in the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
