About The Position

A Team Member at Family Farm and Home contributes to the company mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices that meet customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and appearance through stocking, back-stock organization, product recovery and assembly, operating the cash register, and maintaining store cleanliness. Team Members assist customers in the store and through company-supported internet sites, handle special orders, promote customer programs and financing options, and complete assigned operational tasks. They also support merchandising, freight, safety, loss prevention, store audits, and a positive working environment. The schedule may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Clear and effective communication with customers and team members.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers entering and leaving the store and interact with them in a pleasant, positive manner.
Solicit customer participation in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in the store, on company-supported internet sites, and with special orders.
Use the POS system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct locations according to the store layout.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and solicit customer use of financing options and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Maintain awareness of in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company Loss Prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Assist with building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist in completing the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
