About The Position
Miss J's Cafe is hiring a Team Member to provide customer service and support café operations. The role includes greeting customers, taking and entering orders, assisting with menu selections, serving orders promptly, and addressing customer concerns or escalating them to management when needed. Team Members prepare food and beverages to café standards, operate kitchen equipment safely, and maintain food storage and quality. The position also involves keeping dining, kitchen, and preparation areas clean and sanitary; operating the cash register and following cash-handling procedures; maintaining inventory and organizing deliveries; and collaborating with coworkers on daily tasks. Team Members assist with opening and closing duties, follow company policies and safety procedures, maintain a professional demeanor, and participate in training. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Greet customers, take and accurately enter food and beverage orders, answer menu questions, and offer suggestions.
- Ensure customers receive their orders promptly and provide high-quality service.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when needed.
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, soups, beverages, and other menu items according to café standards.
- Operate grills, ovens, blenders, and toasters safely and efficiently.
- Store and organize food properly, maintain freshness and portioning, and meet café quality standards.
- Keep dining, kitchen, and preparation areas clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and restrooms, and follow health and safety procedures for handwashing, food handling, and cleaning.
- Operate the cash register, process payments, provide change and receipts, and follow procedures to maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Help maintain inventory, report low stock, receive and organize deliveries, check product quality, and store supplies properly.
- Work cooperatively with team members and communicate with colleagues and supervisors to support efficient workflow.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including café setup or closing, cleaning, and restocking.
- Follow company policies, safety protocols, food-handling requirements, and customer-service standards.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Participate in training and ongoing learning about café operations.
