About The Position
The Dock/Donations Team Member supports the movement and organization of donations and shipments at the facility. The role involves receiving, counting, weighing, measuring, sorting, stacking, and transporting merchandise, while accurately tracking merchandise movements and weights. Team members may also assist donors and customers at the store donation center and help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. This is a part-time position in Madison, Tennessee, in a fast-paced warehouse environment with indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. The Dock team works together to keep donations moving and stores running smoothly. The position contributes to the company's mission of supporting local charities, positively impacting communities and the environment, reducing waste, and creating jobs.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and staying active.
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Have basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Be organized, dependable, and able to work well with others.
- Be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Be willing to complete a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
- Work safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Count, weigh, and measure incoming and outgoing donations and shipments.
- Safely load, unload, sort, stack, and organize merchandise.
- Move donations and materials to designated areas throughout the facility.
- Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment to transport materials safely.
- Track and record merchandise movements and weights accurately.
- Identify and report shortages, discrepancies, or other concerns to management.
- Assist donors and customers at the store donation center when needed.
- Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Work with the team to keep donations moving efficiently.
