About The Position

All Team Members at Family Farm and Home are expected to work toward the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices focused on customers’ lifestyle needs. The Team Member contributes to daily store operations and appearance by stocking products, placing items in back-stock areas, recovering and assembling products, operating the cash register, and maintaining general cleanliness. The role also involves helping customers in the store and through supported internet sites, processing special orders and online orders, and supporting store merchandising, safety, and operational standards. The position requires a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays, along with the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Carry out daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant, positive manner.
Encourage customers to enroll in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally.
Approach and assist customers in the store and on Family Farm and Home-supported internet sites, and process special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete POGs and mass layouts in the correct locations according to the store layout.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Explain and promote financing options and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and potential shoplifting, and communicate concerns to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Help build and assemble store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with completing the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
