About The Position

Vera Bradley is hiring a part-time Team Leader - Keyholder for a new store anticipated to open in September 2026. As part of the founding team, the role supports store leadership in achieving sales goals by working alongside associates and providing daily direction, communication, and training. The Team Leader motivates the team to deliver an excellent shopping experience, builds customer loyalty, and serves as a brand ambassador who models Vera Bradley’s core values.

The role combines sales leadership, customer service, merchandising, and store operations. It requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store opening and closing and peak business needs. The position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching, along with lifting and pushing or pulling loads.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Retail experience and/or prior management experience.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to walk and stand constantly and bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
• Strong sensory skills, including good eyesight, good hearing, and dexterity.
• Ability to consistently lift 10–35 lbs.; occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.; and push or pull more than 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to exceed sales goals, drive store traffic, convert customers, and promote campaigns.
• Execute community and customer outreach to increase brand awareness and build lasting customer relationships.
• Motivate and inspire the team in alignment with Vera Bradley’s core values.
• Recommend products suited to customers’ needs and use add-on selling and customer outreach to drive store results.
• Execute and improve daily operational procedures.
• Support the team in maintaining visual standards and keep the store organized and inviting.
• Model reliability, integrity, company policies, procedures, and Vera Bradley’s core values.
• Support store opening and closing and peak business needs.
