About The Position

The Aubuchon Company is seeking an Assistant Store Leader to support daily store operations, drive sales, and develop a high-performing team. Working closely with the Store Leader, this role helps ensure excellent customer service, maintain store standards, and contribute to business success. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service, merchandising, and operational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Experience analyzing sales reports and managing store performance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, reaching, and bending.
• Must be comfortable working in an animal-friendly environment; accommodations are available upon request.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of retail leadership experience preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Support store operations and help team members deliver excellent customer service.
• Coach team members on product knowledge and customer engagement to help drive sales.
• Maximize participation in the customer loyalty program and local marketing efforts.
• Engage with local organizations and community initiatives.
• Ensure team members use store communication tools and task management systems effectively.
• Oversee pricing updates, loss prevention efforts, and inventory accuracy.
• Manage in-stock levels, stockroom organization, and merchandising strategies.
• Support execution of sales initiatives and store programs.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Support ongoing product and operational training.
• Promote team member engagement and professional growth.
• Help manage payroll, scheduling, and labor expenses.
