About The Position

A Team Lead at La Petite Academy on Encino Rio promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth and supports their development as lifelong learners. The role leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, with classroom instruction comprising at least 50% of the weekly schedule.

The Team Lead communicates with families to support each child’s achievement and the center’s success. The position is also responsible for or assists with managing, training, and mentoring new hires and fellow teachers, and creating interactive learning experiences for preschool children.

When the Director or Assistant Director is absent, the Team Lead takes on their duties, including opening and closing the school. The role ensures children receive daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
