About The Position

The Shipping Team Leader is a leadership role overseeing the day-to-day activities of the department. They report to the shift supervisor. They will perform a variety of tasks such as operating various equipment, filling in for vacancies, maintaining plant housekeeping, and performing routine maintenance on the plant and equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma, OR Equivalency Certificate, (GED, etc.)
Six months related experience and/or training.
Must be able to read and understand the Procedures and Work Instructions for the position held.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand sufficiently to follow job and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Supports Shift Supervisor in maintaining the day-to-day operations.
Assist in training and evaluation of new employees and transfers.
Ensures that Axis safety and quality procedures are adhered to.
Provides relief and coverage in plant operations as needed.
Assist with equipment and plant repairs, maintenance, and housekeeping.
Performs inspections of all operations of equipment. Reports any potential issues to supervisor.
Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
