About The Position

Product Marketing is part of the Growth & Commercialization function and determines what the company sells, to whom, at what price, and how it is positioned. The team turns those decisions into revenue, expansion, and higher win rates. Reporting to the VP of Growth and Commercialization, the Team Lead Product Marketing is a player-coach who leads and develops the team, owns its commercial targets, and personally leads one or two major workstreams. The role owns Product Marketing’s contribution to revenue, including competitive win rates, attach and revenue from new add-ons, and adoption of launches. It sets launch revenue targets and business cases, tracks results, and reviews commercial performance with leadership. The position also owns pricing, packaging, commercial models, portfolio and product-area positioning, ideal customer profiles and segments, competitive positioning, analyst briefings, tiered launches, enablement, and adoption tracking. The team lead works closely with Product, Sales, Consulting, and Marketing, and uses AI and automation to scale research, content, and enablement. The company creates Checkmk, hybrid IT monitoring software for cloud-native and traditional infrastructure and applications, offered in open-source and commercial editions. The company has grown from 20 to more than 250 employees and supports customers across Europe, the US, and other markets. The role can be performed fully remotely or with flexibility between mobile work and the Munich office.
