About The Position

Vitalant is seeking a lead phlebotomist to support its donor care team and help provide comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences. The role involves conducting mobile blood drives, typically on buses, and working with donors at local donation centers. The position is based at 400 Valley Drive, Brisbane, California, and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, full time. The stated start date is December 14, 2026, and pay is $31.25–$32.25 per hour, with compensation commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to complete and pass the CDL license program.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Successful completion of the supervisory training program within six months.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as an operational lead, supporting staff with interviewing and phlebotomy processes and providing coaching when needed.
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for blood drive coordinators.
• Coordinate the setup and breakdown of equipment for mobile blood drives.
• Ensure blood donors are comfortable and informed during the phlebotomy process.
• Assist the Manager or Supervisor in providing direction and/or supervision to Donor Care Technicians, and provide input for employee performance evaluations.
• Drive company vehicles, including vans and buses, to drive sites.
