About The Position

The Team Lead for Inventory Control oversees and guides a team of inventory control clerks to achieve goals and maintain high standards of accuracy. The role combines technical and administrative expertise with leadership and communication skills to support team success. The lead coordinates, supports, trains, and serves as a knowledge resource for team members, but has no direct reports or formal supervisory responsibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, and/or a combination of experience and education.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities.

• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership on employee scheduling, labor efficiency, work instructions, and throughput.
• Collaborate with area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training and develop employees’ knowledge across multiple skill sets.
• Implement work instructions to keep employees’ knowledge and accuracy up to date.
• Work with purchasing, the production scheduler, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts.
• Communicate maintenance issues and repair or replace consumables as needed.
• Lead and mentor by modeling and teaching desirable behaviors and skill sets.
• Serve as employees’ initial point of contact and primary support resource, helping address and resolve issues.
• Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training.
