Inventory Control Lead

Grüns•Roanoke, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

Grüns is hiring its first dedicated inventory owner for its Roanoke, Texas facility. This on-site role is responsible for end-to-end inventory accuracy, maintaining reliable inventory records, and building the processes and systems that support inventory control. The Inventory Control Lead works alongside the warehouse team and takes day-to-day inventory management responsibilities off the Warehouse Manager’s plate while improving efficiency and reducing errors. The role runs daily cycle counts, investigates discrepancies to their root causes, and ensures corrective actions are reflected in the system. It also leads two scheduled physical inventory counts each year; monitors stock for shortages, overstock, damage, and expiration risks; creates missing inventory SOPs; and regularly reports accuracy against a target of 98% or higher, along with trends in slow-moving, overstocked, and expiring inventory. The successful candidate values accuracy, investigates rather than simply correcting discrepancies, documents repeatable processes, flags issues before they affect shipments, and earns the warehouse team’s trust through hands-on collaboration and ownership.
