About The Position

The Inventory Control Lead coordinates and leads inventory activities at a food manufacturing plant. The role monitors inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, and variance reduction; reports progress and recommends corrective actions; and works with Production, QA, Purchasing, Receiving, and Warehouse teams to address inventory issues and improve processes. The lead also supports team training and development and participates in hiring and performance-management activities.

Requirements

At least 2 years of inventory experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic PC and 10-key skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English and be understood.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on production demand.

Nice To Haves

Food industry experience.
English/Spanish bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

Assist in monitoring KPIs for inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, and variance reduction.
Report progress to management and propose corrective actions.
Report production scan issues to supervisors and assist with training.
Report receiving scan issues to supervisors and assist with training.
Coordinate raw material substitutions and changes with Receiving and Inventory.
Ensure accurate transactions and timely communication.
Lead projects focused on reducing inventory losses and improving reconciliation processes.
Collaborate with Production, QA, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Mentor team members for career progression.
Analyze trends in inventory variances, negative balances, and hold items; present findings in daily meetings and recommend process improvements.
Participate in the interview process and make hiring recommendations.
Contribute to annual performance reviews and make recommendations regarding pay increases and disciplinary actions.
Attend and participate in supervisory meetings.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
