About The Position

The Team Lead I leads a branch and its retail employees, creating a welcoming and collaborative environment where members receive personalized, simple, and memorable service. The role trains and motivates staff, supports their professional growth, and takes ownership of the branch’s overall success. It also promotes CHROME’s technology and digital-first banking services to employees and members.

The Team Lead I represents CHROME in the Washington community by developing local business relationships through the Chrome@Work program, seeking opportunities to attract new members, and leading volunteer efforts. The role works full-time across multiple locations with flexible hours.

Requirements

• Previous banking experience, including management and leadership responsibilities.
• Comfort and confidence using modern technology, including mobile devices, tablets, and web platforms.
• Availability to work full-time at multiple locations with flexible hours.
• Willingness to earn the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor Certification.
• A caring, member-focused approach, with the ability to listen and build personal connections.
• A coachable and proactive attitude, willingness to go the extra mile, and ability to find creative solutions and inspire a team.

Nice To Haves

• A four-year degree is preferred; real-world experience is also valued.

Responsibilities

• Personalize member interactions and identify solutions that meet members’ financial needs.
• Support members with face-to-face banking needs and explain financial processes in simple, authentic terms.
• Train, lead, and motivate retail employees; support their professional growth and the branch’s success.
• Educate employees and members about CHROME technology and digital banking services.
• Seek opportunities to welcome new members and grow the credit union.
• Represent CHROME in the Washington community by building local business partnerships through the Chrome@Work program.
• Lead volunteer efforts in the local community.
