About The Position

CMLS Financial is seeking a Team Lead to manage their Borrower Services team, overseeing the back-office operations for a $46 billion commercial portfolio. This role is ideal for an experienced mortgage professional skilled in problem-solving and mentoring. The Team Lead will guide a team of 4, manage the loan lifecycle from setup to payout, act as an expert for complex deals and exceptions, serve as a senior escalation point for brokers and investors, drive process innovation, and optimize daily operations in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

Two (2) years of experience in mortgage operations, with a strong preference for commercial mortgage products.
One (1) year of experience leading teams.
Ability to manage projects from inception to completion, meeting deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Proficiency in making high-stakes credit decisions and handling escalations efficiently.
Ability to leverage Excel for complex calculations and issue identification.
Proficiency in English and French (verbal and written).
