About The Position

Janitronics Facility Services is hiring a full-time Team Cleaning Specialist to help maintain a clean, healthy, and safe work environment for employees and customers. The role involves completing cleaning tasks in assigned areas, following company safety and security procedures, maintaining expected productivity with minimal supervision, and communicating with supervisors and coworkers about supplies, repairs, safety concerns, and maintenance needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at $18.50 per hour. This is a first-shift position; travel is not required. The position reports to Corrigan Metcalf.

Janitronics provides safety and chemical-use training consistent with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Requirements

• Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Ability to traverse the work site and transport equipment used to complete job functions.
• Ability to position oneself to reach areas below waist level and above the head.
• Ability to detect, observe, and inspect work areas for opportunities and concerns.
• Ability to transport up to 50 pounds through the work site as needed.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants.
• Attention to detail in completing cleaning and hygiene tasks.
• Dependability and punctuality, including completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Integrity in handling company property and equipment and recording work time accurately.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and schedules.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Knowledge of English-language structure and content, including word meaning and spelling, composition, and grammar.
• Polite and respectful customer-service approach when interacting with employees, clients, and supervisors.
• Ability to cooperate and work with others toward shared goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors as needed.
