About The Position

Janitronics Facility Services is hiring a part-time Team Cleaning Specialist to perform cleaning tasks that help maintain a clean and healthy environment for employees and customers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at $16.50 per hour. The position is union and reports to Kelli Neal. Travel is not required. The specialist maintains assigned areas by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors; restocking supplies; and collecting and disposing of trash. The role also includes following company policies, safety and security procedures, and productivity standards; communicating with supervisors and coworkers; and providing respectful customer service. Other duties may be assigned. The work requires traversing the work site, positioning to reach areas from floor level to above head height, inspecting areas, and transporting up to 50 pounds. Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants. Paid training and advancement opportunities are available.

Requirements

Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment.
Good organization and time-management skills.
Meet minimum age requirements.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.
Ability to traverse the work site and transport equipment used for job functions.
Ability to position oneself to reach areas from below waist level to above head height.
Ability to detect, observe, and inspect work areas.
Ability to transport up to 50 pounds as needed.
Ability to handle exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants.
Attention to detail, dependability, integrity, flexibility, customer-service orientation, and ability to work cooperatively as a team player.
Knowledge of English-language structure and content, including word meanings and spelling, composition rules, and grammar.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors as needed.
Resupply or restock supplies as needed.
Collect and dispose of trash from receptacles in assigned areas.
