About The Position

The College of Engineering at Northeastern University is seeking applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Teaching Professor position to join the first-year engineering faculty. This program aims to transform engineering education by delivering inspiring courses that equip students for future academic and co-op success. The role involves teaching first-year engineering students, with an annual academic teaching load of six courses, often multiple sections of the same course due to class size caps. Faculty collaborate as a team to develop and deliver course curricula, and summer work is expected for preparation. There may be opportunities to teach undergraduate courses in specific engineering disciplines if aligned with departmental needs. The position also includes participation in department, university, and professional service activities, such as advising students, committee work, student recruiting, educational research, publications, presentations, and continuing education. This role is crucial in supporting first-year students' success and requires creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to explore new teaching approaches.
