Teaching Assistant FPAC 3P15 Winter D3
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the course FPAC 3P15, Advanced Quantitative Statistics, for the Winter D3 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation rate will depend on the applicant's qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour, both effective September 1, 2026. Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Achieved a minimum of 80% in FPAC 3P15 or equivalent
- At least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in a DEGREE, or who have completed a DEGREE or equivalent
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
