Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for POLI 1P98: How Government Works for the Winter D3-1 term. This course examines how democratic governments make and implement policy decisions and who has input and influence in these decision-making and implementation processes. The nominal workload for this position is 60 hours. Duties include facilitating small group discussions based on assigned materials, grading of assignments and exams, providing thoughtful and constructive feedback to enrich students' academic experiences, and maintaining accurate records of individual student performance. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, encompassing scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation, consultation, marking, proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other administrative tasks.
