This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Teaching Assistant position in the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group for the course POLI 3P67: Public Policy and Social Change during the Winter D3 term. The nominal workload for this position is 60 hours. Duties include facilitating small group discussions based on assigned materials, grading of assignments and exams, providing thoughtful and constructive feedback to enrich students' academic experiences, and maintaining accurate records of individual student performance. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
