About The Position

A teaching assistant is required for Social Work 320, Section 1, Fall 2026. Teaching Assistants must be registered graduate students at McGill University. Applications by those who are not graduate students will not be accepted. All applications must be made via Workday, McGill University’s human resources management system. As per the collective agreement, supplementary postings will remain open for a minimum of 7 days and will close August 24 2026. This posting will expire at 00:00 am the day of the deadline to apply. Requirements

  • Must be a graduate student enrolled at McGill University in the School of Social Work
  • Good academic standing
  • Some practice experience and knowledge of social function assessment writing
  • Effective communication skills, English and French
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Quebec social services a plus

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate/ Grading and commenting on assignments
  • Attending weekly course lectures
  • Facilitate small group discussion and workshops
