About The Position
This is a Teaching Assistant position for the LIN4971 course, Field methods for morphology, syntax and semantics, during the 2026 Fall Semester. The position is classified under CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) and involves specific course duties. The total work hours for this position are 120. The hourly rate will be $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students (2024-2025 rates), exclusive of vacation and statutory pay. Requirements
- Must be a native speaker of an indigenous language of the South American lowlands and speak it fluently.
- Must be a native speaker of a minority language (not an official language at the national or provincial level) originating in Africa, Asia, or the Americas, and speak it fluently.
- All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
- Applicants invited to continue the selection process must notify the hiring committee of any particular adaptive measures they might require.
