Teaching Assistant LABR 1P97 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the course LABR 1P97 for the Fall D2 term. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom duties, including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as required. Compensation will be based on the employee's qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. Requirements
- Achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
- At least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in an LABR DEGREE, or who have completed an LABR DEGREE or equivalent
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
