Teaching Assistant LABR 2P00 Fall D2
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the LABR 2P00 course during the Fall D2 term. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 employee group. The role involves assisting with Mediation, Arbitration and Conflict Resolution. Compensation is based on qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties and responsibilities are in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement, and include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration.
Requirements
- Achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
- At least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in an LABR DEGREE, or who have completed an LABR DEGREE or equivalent
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
