About The Position
The McGill Institute for the Study of Canada is searching for eligible candidates to act as Teaching Assistants in Fall 2026. Applicants must be registered in a graduate program at McGill in the Fall 2026 term. Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person.
Requirements
- Applicants must be registered in a graduate program at McGill in the Fall 2026 term
- Prior graduate or undergraduate study in subject matter of course
- Strong overall academic performance
- Suitable teaching skills
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located
- English communication both verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
- Instruction in conference sections
- Availability for student consultation/office hours
- Attendance in class lectures (when required by instructor)
- Grading of papers, exams, and other course components
- Consultation with course instructor
- Assistance in the preparation of course materials
