Teaching Assistant LABR 2P03 Fall D2-1
About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the LABR 2P03 course during the Fall D2-1 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. Compensation will be based on the employee's qualifications, with an undergraduate rate of $23.30 per hour and a graduate rate of $36.67 per hour (effective September 1, 2026). Additional duties will be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. The duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as preparing seminar material, student consultation, marking, grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as required, in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement.
Requirements
- Achieved a minimum of 80% in the course
- At least third- or fourth-year students currently enrolled in an LABR DEGREE, or who have completed an LABR DEGREE or equivalent
- Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students
- Punctual in attending classes
- Able to meet appropriate deadlines
