About The Position

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems at Penn State University Park is hiring one part-time teaching assistant to support Dr. Lina Wang with SCM 404: Demand Fulfillment during the Spring 2027 semester. The role is expected to begin in January 2027 and involves up to 10 hours of work per week. Workload may vary from week to week depending on assignment deadlines and grading needs. The assistant will support class activities on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at all class meetings. The starting rate is $16.00 per hour. Employment requires successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

Requirements

• Be a third-year or higher Supply Chain and Information Systems major who has successfully completed SCM 404 at Penn State, or be a currently enrolled master's-level student with a Supply Chain background.
• Successfully complete required background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

Responsibilities

• Hold office hours.
• Grade assignments.
• Prepare study guides and solutions.
• Assist with group activities during all class meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
