About The Position

We are looking for an energetic teaching assistant to assist the head teacher with planning and implementing whole-classroom and small-group instruction. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a state and federal background check.
• High energy and a love of working with children.
• Organized and detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• One year of previous teaching assistant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tutor and assist students individually or in small groups to help them master assignments and reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, schoolyards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips.
• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs.
• Observe students’ performance and record relevant data to assess progress.
• Teach social skills to students.
