About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the HLSC 4P59 course during the Winter term. This position is part of CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) and compensation is based on qualifications. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom duties, including preparation of materials, student consultation, marking, proctoring exams, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. Requirements

An undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or related discipline.
Completed this course within the last three years.
Effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students and provide constructive feedback.
Punctual in attending classes.
Able to meet appropriate deadlines.
Experience or training with synchronous and asynchronous course support.
Proficiency with online delivery tools (e.g., Lifesize, Microsoft Teams, Brightspace), computer spreadsheets (e.g., Excel), and electronic audience response systems.
Available to provide feedback in person and, when required, online.

Nice To Haves

Fourth year (honours) standing students in Health Sciences or related discipline will be considered if vacancies remain.
Experience leading seminars is an asset.
