About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor for the CHM2353 course (Descriptive Inorganic Chemistry) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves preparing and giving DGDs (Demonstration Groups), marking midterms and final exams, and proctoring a final exam and midterms. The work is for the Main Campus of the University of Ottawa, within the Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences. The hiring process will be governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
Requirements
- Candidate must have 1 full year of general chemistry
- 1 full year of organic chemistry
- CHM 2353, CHM 3350 or their equivalents
- Successful completion of WHIMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops is required
- All those who are not Chemistry graduate students will be required to write a test to qualify
