About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the course CSI4539A, Conception de systèmes informatiques sécuritaires, during the Fall 2026 semester. The work is to be performed at the Main Campus. The role involves grading, proctoring exams, setting up and running labs, consulting with students, and potentially leading tutoring sessions. The total work hours are 130, with a start date of September 1, 2026, and an end date of December 31, 2026. The hourly rate is $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students (2024-2025 rates), excluding vacation and statutory pay. These rates are subject to change upon ratification of a new collective agreement, with retroactivity applied after ratification. The language of work is French.

Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or equivalent with a grade of at least A.
Must attend the TA seminar given by the Centre for Pedagogy, if necessary.
Selected candidates must be available for an interview.
If the course includes DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision and teaching periods, candidates must be available for them.
Excellent knowledge of networks and secure computer systems concepts.
Excellent verbal communication skills in French.

Responsibilities

Noter, corriger et tâches associées, y compris possiblement la préparation de certaines solutions modèles.
Surveillance d'examens.
Mettre en place et mener les laboratoires du cours.
Être disponible pour consulter avec les étudiants, y compris possiblement diriger certaines sessions de tutorat.
