About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the Electric Power Transmission, Distribution and Utilization course (ELG4125A, Section A) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The role involves participating in preparing lab material and conducting lab sessions, offering weekly tutorials, marking lab reports and assignments, and having weekly office hours to answer student emails. The teaching method will be delivered in person. The number of positions and hours offered are subject to final enrollment in the course.

Requirements

  • Experience in dealing with electric machines such as motors and generators.
  • PowerWorld simulation knowledge is needed.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or its equivalent and its prerequisite(s) with a mark of A or better.
  • Attend a TA workshop if necessary.
  • Must be ready for an interview if considered for this position.
  • If the responsibilities include DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision or teaching, the applicant must be available for all of these.
