About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the specific course CEG4558A, "Commande par ordinateur en robotique", during the Fall 2026 semester. The work is to be performed at the Main Campus. The role involves designing, preparing, and testing laboratory experiments, exercises, assignments, and projects. The assistant will help students with laboratory experiments, assignments, and theory, guide them in their projects, and present tutorial sessions and demonstrations. Responsibilities also include grading assignments, lab reports/projects, and quizzes, offering weekly consultation hours, responding to student emails, and participating in project evaluations and exam/quiz supervision. The teaching method will be in-person.

Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed this course or equivalent with a grade of at least A.
Must attend the seminar for TAs given by the Centre for Pedagogy, if necessary.
Selected candidates must be available for an interview.
If this course includes DGD and/or TUT and/or LAB supervision and teaching periods, candidates must be available for them.
Excellent knowledge of fundamental principles in robotics and control.
Good knowledge in computer vision or image processing.
Familiarity with computer programming.
Must demonstrate clear abilities to explain complex concepts.
Excellent verbal communication skills in French.

Responsibilities

Concevoir, preparer et tester des experiences de laboratoire, exercices, devoirs et projets.
Assister les etudiants avec les experiences de laboratoire, les devoirs et la theorie.
Guider les etudiants dans leurs projets.
Presenter des seances de travaux diriges.
Presenter des demonstrations.
Corriger les devoirs, rapports de laboratoire/projet et quizzes.
Offrir des heures de consultation hebdomadaires et repondre aux courriels des etudiants.
Participer dans l'evaluation des projets.
Surveillance d'examens et de quizzes.
