About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor position within the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Nursing. The role involves supporting students in the simulation lab, monitoring online platforms and emails, assisting with learning plans, preparing materials, and marking assignments. The position is for the Fall 2026 semester and requires physical presence in Ottawa.
Requirements
- Graduate student in the school of nursing with a valid license (RN).
- Fluency in French and English.
- Physical presence is required (must be in Ottawa to perform the work).
Responsibilities
- Monitor Brightspace and simulation lab emails.
- Monitor CEO (verify clinical evaluations are complete).
- Assist in the sim lab.
- Support students in the sim lab.
- Assist with creation of learning plans for students not meeting objectives.
- Prepare learning materials.
- Mentor students in the lab who need additional support when referred by their clinical instructor.
- Provide follow-up with students experiencing difficulty.
- Participate in post-conference as needed.
- Follow-up with clinical instructors as needed.
- Meet with students.
- Mark assignments.
- Other tasks.
