About The Position

This is a Teaching Assistant position for the Transport Phenomena course (CHG 3316) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves supporting the instructor in delivering the course, which is taught in person on the Main Campus in Ottawa. The assignment runs from September 1 to December 31, 2026. The number of positions and hours are subject to final course enrollment.

Requirements

• BASc in chemical engineering or the equivalent.
• Good knowledge of mathematics for transport phenomena.
• Must be a CUPE 2626 member or eligible for membership.
• Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
• Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

Responsibilities

• Support the instructor in delivering the Transport Phenomena course.
• Engage with students for course-related inquiries.
• Grade assignments and exams.
• Proctor exams.
• Participate in training sessions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
