About The Position

This is a Teaching Assistant position for the Process Control course (CHG 3335) during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is for the Main Campus, within the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. The course is expected to have 70 students and will be delivered in person. The assignment will take place on campus in Ottawa from September 1 to December 31, 2026. The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

• Be fully knowledgeable in process control.
• Have followed a similar course as an undergraduate.
• Must be well-versed in dynamic modeling, Laplace transform, transfer functions, and design and tuning of PID controllers.
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
• Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

• An oral interview could be used to test the level of knowledge of the TA for this course.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with course material.
