About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the FRESHWATER ECOLOGY course (BIO4156, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The TA will be responsible for various tasks including preparation, contact with students, and grading. This senior TA role requires familiarity with lab methods and assistance in setting up remote laboratory and sampling equipment at a field station in the Quebec Laurentians. The position is governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

  • Successful completion of BIO 4156 or equivalent course(s).
  • Successful completion of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety workshops.
  • Must be familiar with lab methods.
  • Must assist in setting up a remote laboratory and sampling equipment at a field station in the Quebec Laurentians.
  • Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
