About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the Business Simulation Analytics course (ADM3305) during the Fall 2026 semester at the Telfer School of Management. The TA will be responsible for marking assignments, projects, and group projects, leading weekly labs, holding office hours, and proctoring exams. The position is for one academic term, starting September 1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2026, with a total of 140 work hours. The hourly rate will be $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students, with potential for retroactivity based on a new collective agreement. The language of work is English. The TA must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Business Simulation Analytics
  • Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently
  • Minimum C.G.P.A. of 8.0
  • Minimum grade of A- in ADM 3305 or its equivalent
  • Minimum grade of A- in ADM2302, 2303 and 2304 or their equivalents or previous successful TA experience in the course
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Arena Simulation software, Microsoft Excel, and Python
  • Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with online course delivery considered an asset
  • Experience with online videoconferencing environment considered an asset (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
  • Experience as TA of the course in previous terms considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to higher grades
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course
  • Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer programs
