About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the Reasoning and Critical Thinking course (PHI1101-G00) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The position involves a combination of duties as per Article 4.3.1, which may include correcting assignments, attending lectures (in-class and online), consulting with students (in-person and online), and proctoring exams. The specific allocation of hours for these tasks will be negotiated and signed by the student and the supervising professor. There are 2 positions available, with an expected enrollment of 200 students. The work is to be performed at the Main Campus.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate in Philosophy or related field.
- Must be a student at the University of Ottawa.
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

- Graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
