About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the PHI1101-F00 course, Reasoning and Critical Thinking, during the 2026 Fall Semester. The position is under the CUPE classification. Two positions are available, with an expected enrollment of 200 students. The work is to be performed at the Main Campus. The TA will be responsible for a combination of duties as per Article 4.3.1 of the collective agreement, which may include correcting assignments, attending lectures (in-class and online), consulting with students (in-person and online), and proctoring. The specific allocation of hours to various tasks will be negotiated and signed by the TA and the supervising professor before the commencement of work. All university employees must complete mandatory legislated training. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

• Baccalaureate in Philosophy or related field.
• Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
• Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
